LIMA 2019

ACM made our presence felt again at Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 19) after a long absence. ACM is joint-exhibited with Boeing from 26-30 March 19 at Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre. ACM at LIMA 19 Day 1: An exciting opening ceremony officiated by Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed signalling the starts of the Trade Visitor day. For 3 days, over 42,000 trade visitors converged to MIEC to observe and conduct meeting and seeing latest technologies on display.

First group of ACM employees that joined the event

1.5 Millionth Part Milestone

ACM celebrated our 1.5 Millionth Part Milestone with a ceremony befitting the monumental occasion. Over 500 guests and employees were in attendance as the event graced by the presence of His Royal Highness Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Al Marhum Sultan Badlishah, Sultan Kedah Darul Aman, His Royal Highness Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Ibni Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin, Crown Prince of Kedah, YAB Dato' Seri Haji Mukhriz Tun Mahathir, members of royal families, state executive council and distinguished guests.

The presence of our Boeing guests including VP for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Mr Ian Chang, VP Boeing International, Mr Ralph L (Skip) Boyce, Hexcel representative and Senior Commercial Officer from US Embassy made it all the more memorable.

The event commenced with the tour of the plant by our VVIP before making their way to the stage area. Multicultural dance opened the activities on stage before welcoming remarks by ACM Managing Director, Mr Jose Garza followed by Speech from Mr Ian Chang.

ACM history video preludes the highlight of the day, the unveiling of our 1.5 Millionth Part. Accompanied by Mr Jose Garza, Mr Skip Boyce and Mr Ian Chang, His Royal Highness unveiled the 787 FLE, our 1.5 Millionth Part produced. After a photo session, the VVIP were given a demo of our autoclave 5. A meet and greet opportunity for our employees with His Royal Highness before event finishes with lunch.

A hearty congratulation to ACM event committee for organizing such a memorable activity and ensuring it went smoothly. The long hours balancing the day to day work with a preparation of this magnitude is quite a feat indeed.

Our sincerest acknowledgement to all ACM employees. This is your achievement. The 1.5 Millionth parts produced in nearly 20 years since commencing operation back in 2001 is a major milestone. This is a culmination of hardwork and dedication of each and every one of you. In 2018 we produced nearly 13,000 parts per month delivered to our customer, close to 70 month without a Loss Time Injury and onboarding 10 new programs in 2017/2018. Lets look forward to achieve our 2019 goals and get a step closer to our next milestone.

ACM BOWLING TOURNAMENT

After the excitement of the badminton tournament, ACM sports and recreational club once again successfully organized another event, the bowling tournament. The event was organized at Aman Bowl, Aman Sentral in Alor Setar. 26 teams participated with each team consists of 4 playing members. It was a fun-filled day for all participants.
